The Making Of is a very funny, high quality show greatly inspired by the mockumentaries of Christopher Guest. Egocentric director Rick (Rick Jon Egan) is so concerned about documenting the making of his documentary on homelessness in Toronto more effort is devoted to that than to carrying out his increasingly insane “inspirations.” Hilarious clips of “The Making Of” film alternate with live staging of chaotic production meetings. While the seven-member cast form a superb ensemble, Kat Sandler stands out for her deadpan humour and insistence that “real facts” might be more important than the “fake facts” Rick favours to bolster his innate prejudice against the homeless.
