Gotcha
By Barrie Keeffe
Directed by Aleksey Serebryakov
Assistant Director Daren Herbert
In co-production with Show One Productions.
Gotcha is a gripping hostage drama. The Kid is a 16-year-old graduating student exhausted by his anonymity within the school system, a system that has apathetically denied him any opportunity for advancement or development. On his last day at school, he holds three teachers hostage by holding a lighted cigarette over the open gas tank of a motorbike.
Making his Canadian theatre debut Mr. Serebryakov is the star of Leviathan, the Golden Globe winning and Academy Award nominated foreign film, and one of the most well-known actors of Russia.

Sunday in the Park with George
Book by James Lapine
Music and Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim
Directed by Steve Ross
Starring Mike Nadajewski as George and
Glynis Ranney as Dot and Marie. With David Coomber and Jennifer Stewart.
A musical from the genius mind of Stephen Sondheim that looks at the nature of genius itself. It is inspired by George Seurat’s magnificent painting, A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte. As George Seurat struggles to find his artistic voice in creating his pointillist masterpiece, he becomes more and more distant from his real world love. Meanwhile, the characters that inhabit Seurat’s painting have lives and opinions unto themselves. A century later, Seurat’s descendant is also an artist, and finds himself grappling with similar issues of artistic creation.
Long-time TIFT company member Steve Ross will make his directing debut while Founding Artist Mike Nadajewski will return to play the title role opposite his real-life spouse Glynis Ranney.

This Hotel
Written and directed by Alex Poch-Goldin
Hilarious, clever and sexy. After Lester finds his wife in the arms of another man, he checks into This Hotel. A shape-shifting bellhop escorts him on a whirlwind tour of long corridors and provocative rooms inhabited by the tenants of Lester's subconscious.
After appearing in leading roles in TIFT’s productions of Great Expectations and Possible Worlds, Alex Poch-Goldin will direct his own play, last produced in Toronto in 2001 to critical acclaim.

Darling of the Day
Book by Nunnally Johnson
Lyrics by E.Y. Harburg
Music by Jule Styne
Based on Arnold Bennett’s novel “Buried Alive”
Directed by Richard Ouzounian
Starring Jennifer Lyon
Darling of the Day is a lost musical gem from two giants of musical theatre. Priam Farll is a brilliant, unconventional artist who offended Queen Victoria and was exiled to the South Pacific. Now it‘s 1905, and Victoria has been succeeded by Edward VII. Farll returns to London to receive a knighthood, but is appalled by society’s expectations of him as a flash in the pan celebrity, a “darling of the day.” When Farll’s faithful butler suddenly dies and their identities are confused by an official, Farll seizes the chance to “get out of this world alive”.
Long-time TIFT director Richard Ouzounian will revive this neglected musical, which had a brief but tumultuous Broadway run in 1968, starring Vincent Price and Patricia Routledge.
More casting announcements will follow at a later date.
Subscriptions will be on sale starting May 18, 2015.
