| In April, Piotr Illyich Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin will be a company debut. Canadian opera superstar Russell Braun will perform his Canadian debut of the title role in this powerful and dramatic opera. Based on Alexander Pushkin's novel of the same name, Tchaikovsky's opera is a lyrical masterpiece filled with intense emotion set to a beautiful score. OLO Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Tyrone Paterson will lead the National Arts Centre Orchestra and the OLO Chorus. Soprano Inna Dukach brings her "deep, strong, beautiful voice of unusual timbre" to the role of the innocent Tatyana. American tenor, Richard Troxell, who performed as Pinkerton in the critically acclaimed film of Madame Butterfly, will sing the role of Lenski, Onegin's friend.
