The 7^th annual National CrossCurrents festival is crossing personal and political boundaries. Five of Canada’s most talented playwrights venture into deeply personal territory challenging the political and social consciousness of Toronto and the world. Artistic producer, Nina Lee Aquino has teamed up these exceptional playwrights with some of the best directorial talent around. The creative teams consist of Andrew Moodie, Toronto The Good, directed by Philip Akin; Marjorie Chan, The Madness of the Square, directed by Ruth Madoc-Jones;  Anita Majumdar, The Misfit, directed by Mark Cassidy; Simon Johnston, Sisters, directed by Yvette Nolan;. Rahul Varma, Truth and Treason, directed by Guillermo Verdecchia.
