Canadian director, playwright, actor, Robert Lepage has been called Canada's "Renaissance Man." His resume lists five and half pages of international awards honoring both the impact of his work across the globe, and his contribution to Canadian theatre. First devised in 1985 when he was just 27, The Dragons' Trilogy was to become the masterpiece of theatrical storytelling that launched Robert Lepage onto the world stage. 20 years later, Lepage revisits Pierre Lamontagne, the central figure of The Dragons' Trilogy who, at the end of that play, leaves to study art in China. Lamontagne surfaces in the heart of Moganshan 50, a Shanghai neighbourhood known for experimental art. Simple, ingenious, and highly visual, this brand new sequel to the highly acclaimed Dragons' Trilogy reminds us why Lepage is hailed by critics and audiences around the world as an extraordinary creative genius. In French: March 10-14; In English: March 25-April 11 |
