Directed by Nina Lee Aquino (2008 winner of the Canada Council for the Arts John Hirsch Prize for Emerging Director), converse is one-of-a-kind theatrical event that will premiere new work from six of Canada’s top playwrights:  Marjorie Chan, Darrell Dennis, Anita Majumdar, Michael Miller, Sonja Mills andJudith Thompson.

Each playwright has written a short piece especially for The Ensemble. Working closely with the writers and Ensemble members, Nina Lee Aquino has artfully assembled these cutting-edge scenes into a collection of vignettes exploring such varied themes as teen violence, bullying, consumerism and global environmentalism.
