| In January 2009, our audiences will be invited on a unique voyage toward a new appreciation of French theatre. Our guest artist, a foreigner by both language and culture, is Polish director Krzysztof Warlikowski, directing Krum by Israeli playwright Hanokh Levin. Acclaimed in Montreal for his staging of Sarah Kane’sPurifiés at the 2003 Festival de théâtre des Amériques, known for his challenging, disturbing and unsettling productions, Mr. Warlikowski is one of the most inventive, engaging and provocative directors in theatre today. Krum is as festive as it is profoundly rooted in today’s world. This exclusive North American engagement will be performed in Polish with English and French surtitles.
