A NEW THEATRE FOR COLLINGWOOD & SOUTH GEORGIAN BAY ! Theatre Collingwood Board Chair, Darrin Smith toasts a glass of lemonade with Mayor Chris Carrier, long-time arts advocate, Barbara Weider and Theatre Collingwoods Artistic Director, Steven Thomas. The term from lemons to lemonade is meant to characterize the site of the decaying Tremont Hotel, now designated for the construction of a new Performing Arts Facility. As a progressive partnership between the municipality and the professional theatre company, this project fulfills a long-awaited cultural need and will be a symbol of civic pride for the South Georgian Bay region.
