Tuesday, January 8, 2019

Women uplifting women through kinship, strength, and power. Not unlike the Alumnae Theatre Company over the past 101 years. Top Girls demonstrates the #MeToo movement through stories that are ever-present today.

Following Marlene, a career-driven woman fighting the glass ceiling through empowering women’s success in business at the Top Girls Employment Agency. Celebrating her promotion at a dinner party with five strong women from history, literature, and art. Each share stories of love, war, women’s rights, and liberation. But Marlene’s real-world choices to climb the corporate ladder has repercussions in her family life.

This topical story outlines the challenges of the working woman, motherhood, the power of an education, and the cost of Marlene’s success in a world driven by the patriarchy.
