Toronto: First Annual Sketch to the Death! takes place January 6, 13 and 27, 2019

The first annual Sketch to the Death! sketch comedy tournament will take place three Sundays in January at The Social Capital Theatre. Sketch to the Death! will feature a sample of sketch comedians from all experience levels, fighting to be crowned Toronto sketch champions!
 
The 2019 Sketch to the Death! will showcase 30 troupes, who will compete in five shows over three weeks. Guest judges and audiences will determine the winner.
 
Sketch to the Death! will include performances by: Alex Brown, Beggar's Canyon, Blitz, Cereal in a Mason Jar, Chad Anderson Reunion Tour, CL4SS Project, Dad Rock Comedy, Anesti Danelis, Daughters of the Silk Rose, Freak N' Da Beats, Herbeaver, Hiss Bliss, Ian McIntyre, Chris Middleton, Mom & Dad, My Chemical Bromance, Out of Towners, Party of One, Carson Pinch, RUN V.A.G, (Sex) Cult, Tattooweenies, The Kittens in the Hall, Those Two Gals, Uber and Klonk, Whisky Kids, Cameron Wyllie, Vest of Friends and more!
 
Sketch to the Death! was created by Craig Scorgie, a sketch comedian, comedy producer and film editor based in Toronto. Craig has been writing and performing sketch comedy for over 12 years. His troupe Good Game were recently awarded Producer's Pick at the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival and Best Touring Troupe at the Seattle Sketch Comedy Festival. Craig is also the creator and co-director of the all-star sketch comedy collective The Wow, the monthly show The Wonder Show, and co-creator of the Best of Toronto Sketch. As a film editor, Craig has also played a significant role in the editorial departments of TV shows like Amazon's The Expanse, Netflix's Northern Rescue, Netflix's Between, Disney's Backstage, and a variety of other scripted and unscripted projects throughout his career.

ROUND 1: Sunday, January 6 – 6pm, 7:30pm, and 9pm
ROUND 2: Sunday, January 13 – 8pm and 9pm
FINALS: Sunday, January 27 – 8pm
