Toronto: “The Illusionists – Magic of the Holidays” comes to Toronto January 1-5, 2020

This holiday season THE ILLUSIONISTS – Magic Of The Holidays, an all-new installment of the world-famous, blockbuster touring magic spectacular, will play January 1 - 5, 2020 for 11 performances only at Meridian Hall, 1 Front Street East (formerly Sony Centre).

THE ILLUSIONISTS has shattered box office records across the globe and dazzles audiences of all ages with a powerful mix of the most outrageous and astonishing acts ever seen on stage. This non-stop show is packed with thrilling and sophisticated magic of unprecedented proportions. 

THE ILLUSIONISTS previously wowed audiences and around the world including smash hit engagements on Broadway, London’s West End and on tour around the United States and Canada. This year’s family-friendly show promises even more illusions, close-up magic, mentalism, daring escapes, and technological spectacle performed by master entertainers who’ve captivated audiences worldwide.

Born in France to a music family, Valentin fell into magic when he was just a kid. While other children were playing outside, he chose to dedicate his entire life to the art of illusion. First working as a close-up magician, he worked in the shadows of many different television shows throughout France. He recently joined the cast of “The Illusionists” on its tours of Kazakhstan and Europe and appeared in a live version of “Now You See Me” in China. His journeys and experiences far from France have shaped his personality. With a French touch, a bit of humor and a limitless passion for the art of magic, you will share with Valentin a one-of-a-kind experience of wonder and mystery.

The Trickster, DARREN PARTRIDGE, aka Dizzy

Do you believe that it’s possible to actually die laughing?  If so, Dizzy might be the most dangerous man alive.  From the celebrated Apollo Theatre in London’s West End to the iconic Sydney Opera House, Darren “Dizzy” Partridge has been delighting audiences around the globe for more than a decade.  An accomplished comedy magician and cirque variety performer, Dizzy is a regular headlining act on the luxury liners of both Celebrity and Norwegian cruise lines.  He has also been featured as The Trickster and The Showman in the largest touring magic show in the world, The Illusionists.  Dizzy’s wild combination of magic, physical comedy, and theatrical thievery, delivered with mischievous British charm, leaves his audiences both spellbound and gasping for breath.  an experience you will not believe and will never forget. 

The Transformationalists, SOS & VICTORIA

The lightning-fast and world-famous Quick Change artists Sos  & Victoria have perfected their modern interpretation of traditional performance art by combining fashion, stage-craft and sleight-of-hand in a display that has dazzled audiences all over the world. Masters of quick couture, this dapper duo are always prepared and dressed to impress. A flick of the wrists, a twist and a twirl are all it takes for them to transmute their apparel into looks for any occasion. There is only one thing about Sos & Victoria don’t ‘quick change’… is their ability to be the absolute best at what they do!


British born Daredevil and Escape Artist Jonathan is widely considered one of the most creative, skilled, and frankly crazy stunt performers in the world; and has been described as “The world’s greatest theatrical daredevil”. Goodwin has been hanged, buried alive, hung by his toes from helicopters, burned at the stake, attacked by sharks, and bitten by rattlesnakes dodged arrows and climbed under moving cars. Jonathan has starred in numerous TV series including “One Way Out” for Discovery Channel and “Dangerman: The Incredible Mr Goodwin” for the BBC. As well as his own Specials, “Deathwish Live”, “How Not To Become Sharkbait” and “The Seven Stupidest Things to Escape From”. Goodwin has been a guest on tv shows such as Jimmy Kimmel live, Rachael Ray, Good Morning America and The Jonathan Ross Show. Jonathan has starred in shows all over the world, including twice on Broadway, three times in London’s west End, and at venues such as Radio City Music Hall and Sydney Opera House as well as the private birthday part of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Most recently Jonathan was a finalist on Britain’s Got Talent where he was described as “The most dangerous act ever”

The Manipulator, FLORIAN SAINVET

Born in Bordeaux, France, Florian Sainvet began his career in magic at the age of sixteen, but it was while devouring his favorite science fiction films and universes at his beloved neighborhood cinema that he discovered his true calling as a futuristic manipulator and illusionist. After three years of diligently honing his craft, Florian participated in the television series France’s Got Talent and wowed the judges and audience with his half man, half robot persona and act.  After finishing third in France’s Got Talent, Florian’s career sky-rocketed, bringing his cutting edge-style to the world’s stage at The World Championship of Magic where the leading Champion of France received a rousing standing ovation. Most recently, Florian won the World Championship of Magic in Manipulation at FISM 2018 in Busan, South Korea. Florian’s unbridled passion and hard work coupled with his vanguard approach to manipulation and magic will leave you wondering… which universe is he really from? 


You probably know Steve as one of the stars of NBC’s CROSSING JORDAN, or as Derek in Disney’s I’M IN THE BAND or the award winning UNCHARTED and DRAGONAGE video Game series or one of over a dozen movies like TEEN BEACH, WIZARDS OF WAVERLY PLACE MOVIE and THE WALK. In fact, in the last 20 years Steve has appeared in over 250 hours of TV and film carving out a unique place for himself in show business, constantly changing and morphing into a myriad of wild, quirky, funny, dangerous and always unique characters. But what you may NOT know is Steve’s love for magic and the enormous respect he carries among magical community. A five-time multi-award winner at the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood: two time CLOSE UP MAGICIAN OF THE YEAR, two time LECTURER OF THE YEAR, and most recently Steve was just awarded the ACADEMY OF MAGICAL ARTS STAGE MAGICIAN OF THE YEAR for his one man show LIFE AND OTHER DECEPTIONS, which he wrote, produced and starred in, and premiered in Hollywood to sold out houses, standing ovations and outstanding reviews. Steve has literally toured the world performing, creating and teaching magic. He has headlined in Las Vegas, performed for royalty and recently launched his hugely successful online Magic School and APP called MAGIC ON THE GO, a Global Training Center and Community for anyone interested in learning magic. Steve splits his time between Hollywood, California, and Toronto Canada where he loves performing his 3 other magical roles, dad to two amazing kids, husband to his wife, actress Inna Korobkina and wrangler to his crazy dog, Ziggy.

The Delusionist, STUART MacLEOD

A Scottish BAFTA nominee, Stuart MacLeod has created some of the most controversial magic on television, played to sell out crowds all over the world and racked up over 100 million views on YouTube. Executive producer on the recent Netflix smash “Magic for Humans” and star of many hit shows in the UK including BBC’s “The Magicians”, Stuart is an expert Judge on CBS's new primetime show “The World's Best” alongside James Corden, Drew Barrymore, Faith Hill, and Rupaul. As half of the critically acclaimed UK double act Barry and Stuart, the duo have a devoted fan following and are known for their comically dark performing style and unique brand of twisted magic. Their award winning mix of humor and subversive performances have received rave 5-star reviews at Edinburgh Fringe and Just for Laughs, and saw them crowned winners of ITV’s “The Next Great Magician.” Born and raised in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, Stuart now resides in Los Angeles. He runs production company House MacLeod with his wife, Jenni Melear, loves his dog Birdie a little too much, and wears his kilt whenever he gets the chance.
