Mississauga: Theatre Erindale presents “In the Next Room (or The Vibrator Play)” February 14-March 3

Tuesday, February 12, 2019

Theatre Erindale’s Transformative season continues with the 3rd MainStage show In The Next Room (or The Vibrator Play), directed by Samantha Wilson.

Mrs. Givings is left lost and alone when her scientist husband invents a device for what 19th-century psychiatry thought of as “hysteria,” yet denies her the very thing thing she craves. Add to the mix a newborn baby and a steady stream of beautiful “hysterical” clients, and the Givings’ marriage threatens to crack wide open in Sarah Ruhl’s 2009 feminist take on Victorian America.

In The Next Room (or The Vibrator Play) will be running at MiST Theatre, at the University of Toronto Mississauga. Tickets available at: tickets.sheridancollege.ca, www.theatreerindale.com, by emailing the box office at boxoffice.utm@utoronto.ca, or by calling 905-815-4049.
