Hamilton: Theatre Aquarius announces its 2019/20 season

Theatre Aquarius has announced its 2019/20 season. The six show will be:
★ Renovations for Six ★

September 18th – October 5th, 2019
Shayna and Grant are new in town and decide to host a dinner party. The guest list includes Billie and Wing who abandoned show biz to raise their daughter, haughty psychiatrist Veronica and her husband Maurice, an engineer who has left his high-paying job to write a novel. All three couples are undergoing house renovations and could use a little work on their relationships too! All hell breaks loose at the dinner party as secrets are revealed and cultures clash. A hilarious, fast-paced comedy for everyone who ever got stuck in a fixer-upper, in life or in love!

Eleanor brings her boyfriend home to meet her two moms, and she lets them know that she wants to find her biological father. Nadine, her non-biological mom thinks it’s a great idea, partly because she had a wonderful relationship with her own father. Allison, Eleanor’s biological mom is less enthusiastic, insisting she doesn’t even remember his name, and he never knew about Eleanor. Nadine secretly gives Allison the name Doug. This information sends Eleanor on a journey to an unexpected and explosive answer to the question “Where do I come from?” The fallout forces the whole family to confront the past in order to move on to a better future.

Lynn Nottage won the Pulitzer Prize for this riveting new play.
It’s the year 2000 in Reading, Pennsylvania and a group of friends go to work at the steel mill and then decompress at the bar like they’ve been doing for years. These workers have planned to save money and then retire with a nice, healthy pension. But their mill is making changes and the generations of loyalty these workers have shown don’t seem to amount to much. The company is considering layoffs, the war between community and capitalism begins, and tensions start destroying not only jobs, but relationships.

Pollyanna is a new musical based on the classic 1913 novel by Eleanor Porter. It is an uplifting tale of hope triumphing over adversity, and how the power of one young girl’s positivity can – and does – change the people around her.
Pollyanna Whittier, an extraordinary eleven year old orphan, is sent to live with her stern Aunt Polly in the unhappy town of Beldingville, Vermont. Forbidden to speak of her parents in the presence of her aunt, Pollyanna plays the “Glad Game” to keep her spirits up. When tragedy strikes, even Aunt Polly must turn to the Glad Game to understand how much her outlook has changed since accepting Pollyanna into her life. Previously showcased at the 2016 “From Page to Stage” Festival in London, England, shortlisted for the Playwrights Guild of Canada – Best Musical ’16 and presented at the Charlottetown Festival Theatre Conference in PEI in ’17.
This World Premiere production will have direction by Dora Award winner Robert McQueen, book and lyrics by Steven Gallagher and music by Linda Barnett.
