Toronto: Daniel Stolfi presents “Cancer Can't Dance Like This – 10 Years Later” on May 30

Tuesday, March 5, 2019

Award winning Canadian actor and writer Daniel Stolfi is proud to present Cancer Can’t Dance Like This – 10 Years Later on May 30, 2019 at The Great Hall. Cancer Can’t Dance Like This – 10 Years Later will use a mix of storytelling, stand-up, and physical comedy to explore the mind of a cancer survivor and how he fits into this crazy, weird world.

In March of 2008, at the age of 25, Daniel Stolfi was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, an aggressive form of cancer requiring equally aggressive chemotherapy treatment over the next two years of his life. With comedy at its core, Daniel created Cancer Can't Dance Like This, a solo show which used larger than life characters to vividly portray his lost attributes to the disease - his hair, his strength, his appetite and even his sex drive. Cancer Can't Dance Like This recalled the pain Daniel endured during his treatment while embracing his own saving grace - the fine art of comedy.

Cancer Can’t Dance Like This – 10 Years Later is a reflection and follow up piece to the original Canadian Comedy Award Winning Show, Cancer Can’t Dance Like This and will be performed 10 years to the day of the original production in 2009. With his unique comedic flare, Daniel will revisit all of the original characters from Cancer Can't Dance Like This, while sharing stories of survivorship that he has collected along the way. Throughout it all, the message remains the same: even after 10 years, Cancer still Can’t Dance Like This!

Daniel Stolfi is an Actor, Writer and Comedian from Toronto. Daniel is a Graduate of the University of Guelph Theatre Program, The Second City Conservatory Program and has studied comedy with the Upright Citizens Brigade. Some of his credits include, recurring roles on Frankie Drake Mysteries, The Amazing Gayl Pile, Suits and much more.
