Tuesday, April 2, 2019

We're delighted to announce that Martha Burns and Paul Gross will perform together in Best of Words and Music, a program of our best pairings of theatre, poetry, music, and more. They'll be reading selections from Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing May 9 - 11, at Harbourfront Centre Theatre.Theatre, poetry, and lyric are the focus of this assemblage of our finest pairings of words and music.

These scenes are set by Ravi Jain and presented alongside music by Erich Korngold; Ophelia’s Mad Scene from Hamlet is paired with Heggie’s lieder for soprano. Richard Greenblatt and Reza Jacobs perform excerpts from the smash hit 2 Pianos 4 Hands, Margaret Atwood’s series of poems Thriller Suite is set to original music, and Martha Burns, Gregory Hoskins, Rick Roberts give performances that blur the lines between poetry, music and theatre.
