Toronto: Casting update for “Julius Caesar” by Groundling Theatre and Crow’s Theatre

Friday, July 12, 2019

Crow’s Theatre is delighted to announce that Andre Sills has joined the cast of Julius Caesar! He’ll share the stage with Canada’s most acclaimed classical actors  for three weeks only at Streetcar Crowsnest.

Due to the unprecedented number of new subscribers this season, only a few premium seats are left for Friday and Saturday nights.

Julius Caesar, directed by Chris Abraham and produced in partnership with Groundling Theatre Company, opens January 7, 2020. The cast includes:

 • Dion Johnstone, who just finished a run of King Lear on Broadway with Glenda Jackson, and starred in Chris Abraham’s unforgettable 2015 Stratford production of Othello,

 • Stratford Festival star and Groundling Theatre Company Artistic Director, Graham Abbey

 • Moya O’Connell, who previously moved Crow’s audiences in Middletown and had us rolling with laughter in The Wedding Party, joins us fresh from starring as Coriolanus in Vancouver’s Bard on the Beach,

 • Jim Mezon, best known for his work at the Shaw Festival where he spent 33 seasons,

 • Andre Sills, who starred in Stratford's Coriolanus, directed by Robert LePage.

Julius Caesar runs January 7-26, 2020.
