Toronto: True crime parody podcast from Baram & Snieckus launches August 5
Monday, July 22, 2019
Someone Stole Something is a six part serialized mocu-mystery podcast that parodies the fertile “True Crime” genre.
The story follows fictional married couple Ira and Julia Leiser, (Matt Baram and Naomi Snieckus) residents of a sleepy cottage town, who embark on an investigative journalism quest to uncover the truth about what happened to three of their patio chairs that went missing after a party they threw in the late summer of 2016. The couple are compelled to ask their lake neighbors some pretty uncomfortable questions and as accusations fly in every possible direction, it’s not long before they turn on the last possible suspects; each other.
Someone Stole Something is voiced by Matt Baram and Naomi Snieckus with additional voice contributions from:
Dov Mickelson (Baroness Von Sketch Show)
Paul Braunstein (Fargo, Baroness Von Sketch Show)
Jan Caruana (Second City, Baroness Von Sketch Show)
Andrew Pifko (Criminal Minds, Daddy Issues)
Jason Derosse (Second City, Baroness Von Sketch Show)
Wayne Jones (The Superhero Who Loved Me)
Marypat Farrell (Conan O’Brien, Curb Your Enthusiasm)
Ken Hall (People of Earth, The Umbrella Academy)
Allie Price (The Beaverton, Bajillionaires)
Produced by B&S with the generous support of Leo Hicks, Spencer Hall and Tom Hutch at Apollo Studios in Toronto.
