All patrons attending the four performances of COME FROM AWAY at Toronto's Elgin Theatre from Friday July 5 to Sunday July 7, 2019 will automatically be entered to win one of four trips for two to Newfoundland and Labrador. There are four performances this weekend — Friday July 5, 8 pm; Saturday July 6, 2 PM & 8 PM; Sunday July 7, 2 PM. There will be one winner of a trip for two at each randomly drawn at each performance.

 Also, at all four of these performances there will be a Q&A with Brian Mosher, one of the real-life characters from Gander, NL depicted in COME FROM AWAY. The Q&A will take place immediately following each performance in the auditorium.

Brian Mosher, a proud resident of Gander, is now retired, but in 2001, when the events depicted in the show take place, he was a high-school teacher and local broadcaster. The character 'Janice Mosher' in COME FROM AWAY is a composite of two real-life people, Brian Mosher and Janice Goudy.  Brian was one of the local residents who worked round the clock to welcome the over 7,000 stranded travellers who landed in Gander when the air space was closed following the tragic Twin Tower attacks.

Brian will also be the person doing the honour of drawing the winner of the Newfoundland trip at every performance. The draw will happen at the end of the Q&A, which will last approximately 30 minutes.

The trip to Newfoundland includes: Two return economy airfare Toronto-St.John’s, two nights’ hotel stay in St John’s, two nights’ hotel stay in Gander, return ground transportation St. John’s-Gander, personal tour of the town of Gander, airport transfers in St. John’s. The trip must be taken within 365 days of being awarded. The prize will be awarded as stated and cannot be sold or given to anyone other than the winner. The trip cannot be surrendered or exchanged for cash value.
