Hamilton: Theatre Aquarius opens its new season with Norm Foster’s “Renovations for Six” September 20

Theatre Aquarius is thrilled to open its 47th Season as Hamilton’s professional theatre company with Renovations for Six, a hilarious new comedy from Canada’s favourite playwright, Norm Foster.

 Norm Foster is the most produced playwright in the history of this country and he receives, on average, an astounding one hundred and fifty productions of his plays each year. It has been said that on any given day of the year, there is a Norm Foster play either in rehearsal or in performance somewhere in the world. He is the recipient of the Los Angeles Drama-Logue Award for his play, The Melville Boys and in 2009 he was a finalist for the Premier's Award for Excellence in the Arts.

 Renovations for Six is the story of Shayna and Grant, who are new in town and decide to host a dinner party. The guest list includes three couples who are all are undergoing house renovations and could use a little work on their relationships too. Before long, secrets are revealed, cultures clash and all hell generally breaks loose.

 Renovations for Six is Directed by Theatre Aquarius Artistic Director Ron Ulrich. The Set and Costume Design is by Sean Mulcahy, Lighting Design by Sihobahn Sleath and Choreography by Robin Calvert. The show stars Ian D. Clark, Amos Crawley, Carmen Grant, David Keeley, Mary Long, and Kelly Van der Burg. The Stage Manager is Catriona MacFarlane with Staci Hanley (Assistant Stage Manager), Brittany Elisha (Apprentice Stage Manager).

 Renovations for Six will run from September 18th – Oct 5th, 2019, 2019, with performances Tuesdays – Saturdays at 7:30pm, and Saturday and Sunday matinees at 1:30pm.  Tickets range from $30 - $85. Opening Night is September 20th at 7:30pm.
