This month, the Grand Theatre is excited to welcome Gavin Crawford, host of the popular CBC Radio weekly news quiz, Because News, in the hilarious comedy, FULLY COMMITTED. Described by director Steven Gallagher as “the perfect antidote to the cold weather and a rollicking start to 2020,” the one-person show follows struggling actor, Sam, throughout his day as he answers the phone lines in an upscale restaurant that is fully committed without a table to spare. This comedic look at the insanity of our foodie-obsessed culture will bring brightness and levity to the long month of January. Gavin Crawford skillfully portrays a variety of colourful characters and personalities over this one-act, 90-minute performance. Your reservation at the funniest restaurant in town will introduce you to characters like Bryce, Gwyneth Paltrow’s personal assistant, Jean-Claude, the French Maitre-D, and Mrs. Vandevere, a Park Avenue socialite. Gavin will masterfully move between these and 36 other voices leaving audiences breathless with laughter and amazement.

Audience members are invited to arrive early and enjoy a beverage in the lively atmosphere of the Grand’s lobby spaces prior to the show.

In partnership with London’s Church Key Bistro-Pub, patrons who purchased their tickets prior to November 30^th , 2019 were entered to win a dinner for two on the day of their selected performance.

The Grand Theatre continues its commitment to accessibility initiatives for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing theatre patrons. Returning to the Grand this season is the Wednesday Speak Easy series. Following each Wednesday performance on the Spriet and McManus Stages, patrons can extend their theatre experience and get closer to the artists with exclusive talks, casual conversations, and spontaneous happenings in the relaxed atmosphere of the Poster Lounge or the McManus Lounge.

Pre-Show Reaney Talks
Join host James Stewart Reaney at select Wednesday matinees, as he sparks creative conversations about the production. The talk for FULLY COMMITTED will be held Wednesday, January 22, at 12pm with special guest Vanessa Willis, Co-owner of the Church Key Bistro-Pub in London.
