The GCTC has partnered with Tarragon Theatre to give GCTC patrons access to Tarragon Acoustic, a series of audio versions of iconic Canadian plays, written, directed and performed by some of the best artists working in Canada today. The first play is Léo by Rosa Labordé.

Political passion, poetry, sexual identity, and what it means to “disappear” – including the loss of ideals and individual spirit – weave a bittersweet triangle in this tale of stolen youth. Set in Santiago, Chile, Léo is a one-act play told from the perspective of a twenty-year-old pleasure centered man who has become a desaparecido (disappeared) after the democratically elected Chilean government is overthrown with the assassination of the president, Salvador Allende, in the military coup d’etat of 1973. Leo takes us on a journey through childhood, first friends, first loves and an abruptly ended adolescence.

Q: When are the performances?
A: Tarragon Acoustic's performances are pre-recorded, and you can access them at any time until the end of the show's run (noted above).

Q: Can I pause the show and return to it?
A: Yes! You can pause, leave and return at any time, but your place in the recording may not be saved. Just remember to finish watching before the end of the show's run. 

Q: Why does it list June 30, 2021 when I select the ticket?
A: Our system is designed to sell you tickets to shows with specific times. That date is just a placeholder.
