London. UK: Watch National Theatre shows at home for free

Monday, March 30, 2020

It's now been nearly a fortnight since we sadly closed the NT doors to the public. Following advice, we have now taken the difficult decision to cancel all performances and events until Tuesday 30 June. If you have tickets booked, you will be contacted by our Box Office. We're so grateful to everyone who has already donated tickets back to us and sent lovely messages of support. Thank you.

Your continued loyalty as a member is so important to us and is even more crucial than ever. The Membership Team has been working hard to create some exciting things that we can share with you during this temporary period of closure. They will be in touch more often with updates on our situation, and with more details about the exclusive content we are making available, just for you.

Since we closed, we've also been working hard to find ways to keep sharing our work with you from afar. I am delighted to say that you can still enjoy our performances, albeit in a slightly different setting. Please read below for more information about the launch of National Theatre at Home, which will enable us all to watch an NT production together on YouTube every week, free for everyone. In advance of each screening, we will send members a special gift to help us say thank you for your vital support through this time.

Right now, the National Theatre is closed and facing a devastating impact from Coronavirus. There is no doubt we - like many of you - are facing unprecedented challenges in navigating this unknown path. However, we're confident we will see this through because we're a strong and committed community. All of us send our best wishes to you and your families. Your ongoing support during these difficult months means a huge amount to all of us here at the National Theatre and we can't wait to welcome you back through our doors in the near future.

Best Wishes,

Rufus Norris & Lisa Burger
