Orangeville: Theatre Orangeville postpones its coming shows

Tuesday, March 31, 2020

All of us here at your theatre are blessed in the knowledge that you, our loyal patrons and supporters, care so passionately for Theatre Orangeville that together, we will do all that we can to ensure that our community remains the joyous, caring and courageous place that it has always been, and always will be.

As you know, we at Theatre Orangeville are committed to the telling of stories, stories that are by, for and about Canadians. These stories enrich and inform everyone as to who and what we are as an immediate community, a province and as a nation.

Know that, as a staff, we are doing all that we can to safeguard your theatre and all those precious stories in order that when we are all once again able to gather, we can celebrate and uplift our community with artistry, energy and heart.

In accordance with recent protocols sensibly established by The Town of Orangeville and the Government of the Province of Ontario, Theatre Orangeville continues to suspend operations in an effort to do our part in slowing the spread of COVID-19. This necessary suspension will be in effect until further notice.

Our production of The New Canadian Curling Club, the final play of this current season, has been postponed and we hope it will play from August 13th until August 30th.

Our Creative Partner on Stage productions of There Goes The Neighbourhood and Big Top Flop, have been postponed until further notice.

Our presentation of Across The Pond – The British Invasion has been postponed until further notice.

These plans for postponement and rescheduling will of course be subject to recommendations, guidance and approval from our local Public Health unit and civil authorities.

Current subscribers and single ticket holders for any or all of these shows will receive new tickets. We ask that you please DO NOT call the Box Office regarding your tickets. You will be contacted directly by a member of our wonderful Box Office team to make future arrangements. Rest assured, we will work with you to reissue updated tickets and to offer flexible options that suit you best.

Staff are working remotely but we are available to answer your questions via phone or email at this time. We anticipate volume will be high for the next while, so we thank you in advance for your patience as our Box Office staff reach out to you in as timely a fashion as possible.

Thank you for your support and understanding as well as for your physical distancing and thorough hand-washing practices.

Remember … at Theatre Orangeville, the show WILL go on...eventually!
