Monday, April 6, 2020
The Mystery Starts TONIGHT!
The year is 1927 and Vaudeville is on its way out, which will leave The Winterhouse Theatre (and its staff) penniless if they can’t find an act to turn things around. It looks as though they might be saved when twin singing sensations; The Lavender Ladies agree to perform, but things go awry when one half of the duo is brutally murdered on the night of their show.
Join us tonight to Friday April 10th, nightly at 8pm through The Howland Company’s Instagram Live account and follow our detectives Agatha and Christie (Liz Johnston and Ruth Goodwin) as they attempt to discover who murdered Violet Marchand on the 5th Floor of The Winterhouse Theatre in downtown Toronto.
Based (loosely) on true events, Murder at The Winterhouse Theatre is created by Entrances and Exits (Best of Toronto Fringe) creators, Ruth Goodwin and Liz Johnston, and will feature acting members of The Howland Company including, Alex Crowther, Hallie Seline, Cam Laurie, Danny Ghantous, Paolo Santalucia, James Graham, Courtney Ch’ng Lancaster as well as some exciting guest artists from across Canada including; Colin Mochrie, (Whose Line is It Anyway?), Deb McGrath (Little Mosque On The Prairie), Ennis Esmer (Private Eyes & NBC's Blindspot), Cindy Sampson (Private Eyes), Samantha Wan (Private Eyes & Second Jen), Kevin Vidal(Come From Away), all from the safety of their homes!
The show will culminate in a GRIPPING Season Finale on Friday April 10th where viewers can submit guesses about who they think the murderer was! One lucky winner will be awarded the prize of a $100 donation to The Actors Fund in their name.
