New York: Red Bull Theatre LIVE features Dion Johnstone as Coriolanus tonight

TONIGHT at 7:30 PM EDT, Red Bull Theater LIVEour series of informal FREE readings continues with Shakespeare's CORIOLANUS that Red Bull Theater produced Off-Broadway in 2016, directed by Michael Sexton. The event will feature Broadway luminary and Tony Award-nominee Patrick Page, Royal Shakespeare Company veteran Lisa Harrow (Wit, The Omen), two-time Tony Award-winner Stephen Spinellaand Dion Johnstone (King Lear on Broadway, Stratford Festival’s Othello, Titus, Macbeth) in the title role.

In CORIOLANUS the streets are full of protest. Economic inequality strains the social fabric. Debates rage throughout a nation riddled with dissension and distrust. It’s election year in Rome, 493 B.C.E., and as unscrupulous politicians manipulate public opinion, the hypocrisy and humiliation of political campaigns drive away the country’s finest.
