Toronto: Theatre Smith-Gilmour streams its hit “As I Lay Dying” starting today

Friday, May 15, 2020

As COVID19 continues to keep us in isolation, we've been searching for ways to keep the company moving forward and metamorphosing with the times. Over the past couple of months our team has been working very hard, and we're so excited to announce the launch of our new and improved TSG website.

In another effort to go virtual, we are also thrilled to present the streaming of our most-toured show of the last decade, As I Lay Dying for your quarantined viewing.

We feel this is an important time to give back to all our incredible supporters, to remind you of the beauty of life, and to make you feel that you are part of something greater than this pandemic.

Our adaptation of William Faulkner's classic tale is a mythic story about the death of Addie Bundren and the Bundren family's journey across the Mississippi to fulfill their matriarch's wishes to be buried in her hometown of Jefferson, Mississippi. These characters haunt us, calling us, calling for life and remind us of what it is to be human.
