Muskoka: Dot the T Productions presents 21 days of live theatre and music staring August 10

Sunday, August 9, 2020

This season, we at Dot the T Productions had to put our collective thinking caps on and get creative. We wanted the show to go on. As artists, we NEED the show to go on. And so this is how we will make it work during this time. We present:

21 days of live theatre & music events in 1 location at 2371 LIMBERLOST ROAD, LAKE OF BAYS. All events start promptly at 4pm. Access to the property is 3:30pm. A port-o-potty will be on site for your comfort. You must provide your own seating. Refreshments are optional.

All events are by DONATION (Suggested $20). All shows are limited to 40 people.

RESERVATIONS ARE STRONGLY ADVISED.
Your reservation will be held until 3:45pm on the day of the performance. After that, it will be released to our waiting list. With admission restricted to 40 people per event, Hoola-hoops will demarcate 2 metre social distancing. If it rains, no performance!

WHAT IS A STAGE READING PERFORMANCE

The only difference between a staged reading and a full blown performance is that the actors remain in a set position and, as the name suggests, read from a script. In the hands of professionals, a staged reading loses nothing in the translation and, as previous audiences have observed: they feel, in a way, more complicit with the actor. “It’s like getting a look behind the curtain.”
