Tuesday, September 29, 2020

We’re reuniting the cast members of last year’s Dora Award-winning production of Ghost Quartet for a brand new, filmed concert version of Dave Malloy’s hauntingly beautiful chamber musical.
Ghost Quartet is the perfect piece of theatre for Halloween week – and the newly filmed concert version has been designed for home viewing in mind. Sit back, support the arts and enjoy this dreamy interpretation of Dave Malloy’s song cycle of love, death, and whisky.

To make your evening extra special, two performances have the option of being upgraded to a Dinner & a Show experience, adding a gourmet three course meal from Gare de l’Est and a sommelier selected wine pairing delivered to your home (Toronto only).

Returning cast members Andrew Penner (Harrow Fair, Sunparlour Players, Soulpepper), Hailey Gillis (Canadian Stage, Soulpepper), Kira Guloien (Broadway, Stratford Festival) and Beau Dixon (Soulpepper, Stratford Festival) reprise their roles, while Dora Award winning director Marie Farsi (Outstanding Direction, Musical Theatre Division, Ghost Quartet, 2019) returns to direct the filmed In Concert edition. Patrick Lavender, whose stunning lighting design of Ghost Quartet won Outstanding Achievement in Design, Musical Theatre Division in 2019, returns to Ghost Quartet: In Concert as Lighting Designer.

Written and composed by Dave Malloy, the Tony-nominated composer and creator of Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812, Ghost Quartet began its life at Brooklyn’s storied Bushwick Starr, and went on to be performed at New York’s McKittrick Hotel, earning a New York Times Critic’s Pick, before taking the Edinburgh Fringe by storm in 2016The 2019 Crow’s Theatre / Eclipse Theatre Company production at Streetcar Crowsnest was the show’s Canadian premiere.
