Port Stanley: The 10th Annual Playwrights’ Festival runs October 29-30

Actors Jeff Culbert (“Ed’s Garage”/” The Drawer Boy”), Susan Johnston Collins (“The Birds and the Bees”/” Mending Fences”), Jeff Dingle (“Book Club”/” Giving up the Ghost”), Mark Crawford (“Stag and Doe”/” Ed’s Garage”), and Elana Post (“Dating By the Book”/” Ed’s Garage”) are all confirmed to take part in this year’s Festival.

Following a single day of rehearsal, the plays will be presented as public readings followed by question/answer sessions with the playwrights and invited audience feedback, hosted by Artistic Director Simon Joynes.
The Port Stanley Playwright’s Festival is part of the Port Stanley Festival Theatre’s established play development program, which has in the past produced premiere productions of: “Not in My Backyard” in 2013, “Bingo Ladies” in 2014, “Birds of a Feather” and “The Birds and the Bees” in 2016, “Five Alarm” in 2017, “Buying the Farm” in 2018, and “Giving up the Ghost” in 2019, with a planned production of “Our House” in 2022.
This is a free event. Admission is by donation.
