Orangeville: Theatre Orangeville presents “The Rules of Playing Risk” online April 16-May 2

Monday, April 5, 2021

Roll the dice to claim a world filled with great “Risk”, but even greater heart.

Unsociable retiree Garfield Lyons is eight weeks into recovery from an accident, aided by nurse Maggie who makes house calls at his secluded Parry Sound home, when a letter arrives informing him that his estranged fourteen-year-old grandson Brandon is in need of a place to stay.

Prevailed upon by the ever-outspoken Maggie, Garfield agrees to house the boy, setting grandfather and grandson on an obstacle course of generational divides that cannot be resolved without both of them taking a “Risk”.
