Barrie: Talk Is Free Theatre announces new program initiatives

From this July to September, new in-person theatrical experiences will be presented in innovative settings around Barrie as part of The Bees in the Bush Festival. 

Featuring classics alongside new pieces, experiences will be staged in private backyards, neighborhood streets and other imaginative places. Will you come dressed as an insect to receive a prize?

Specific programming details will be announced next month.

The Eternal Ego Festival, a brand new initiative focused on what can be learned when an individual turns the artistic lens on themselves and takes a closer look.

Ten artists will present adapted traditional pieces of theatre, originally written for multiple characters, and perform every part by themselves, through a variety of mediums, such as in-person, on digital media or combination of two. The Eternal Ego Festival projects will premiere gradually over the next year. Details of programming will be announced next week.
