Sunny Drake’s CHILD-ish: the Weeries launches with free virtual event

June 22nd, 2021 at 2pm, 7pm and 10pm EDT

Co-presented by Sunny Drake, Soulpepper and Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts

What would the world be like if we let ourselves be a bit more childish? In CHILD-ish, a dynamite cast of adult actors speak children’s exact words about love, life and the world. Instead of pretending to be children, they perform as adults, allowing us to hear kids’ ideas and experiences anew. It’s surprising, hilarious and moving.

Originally a theatre play, CHILD-ish: the Web Series was created by Sunny Drake and drawn from interviews with over 40 whip-smart (and brutally honest) children. On Tuesday June 22, 2021, a special  launch event provides the exclusive opportunity to experience this fresh new web series through the perspectives of the brilliant kids from the CHILD-ish team, who will host it alongside Sunny Drake himself. Whilst the episodes will stay online forever, the registration-only launch adds an evening of theatre magic to the mix. And unicorns, too.

Tickets are free, sign-up is required. Viewers can choose from 3 screenings (at 2pm, 7pm and 10pm EDT), connect with others in the digital audience in real time and… #BeMoreChildish.
