One of the most popular romantic comedies of the century, Same Time, Next Year ran four years on Broadway. It remains one of the world’s most widely produced plays. The plot follows a love affair between two people, Doris and George, married to others, who rendezvous once a year. Twenty-five years of manners and morals are hilariously and touchingly played out by the lovers.

A Christmas Carol

A holiday classic with a twist! Rod Beattie sheds Walt Wingfield’s overalls to inhabit all our favourite characters – from Scrooge to Tiny Tim – in his lively adaptation of A Christmas Carol. Embrace the spirit of the season with this heartwarming tale of redemption and hope.

Things My Fore-Sisters Saw

March 3 to 13

In this one-woman play, you will meet four women of African Descent who affected change in Canada: Marie-Joseph Angelique, a slave who was said to have burned down "half" of Montreal from whom we have the first slave narrative in North America; Rose Fortune, the first "policewoman" in North America who helped "freedom seekers" settle in Annapolis Royal Nova Scotia; Mary-Ann Shadd, the first North American woman to publish and edit a newspaper, amongst other things; and Viola Desmond, who refused to give up a seat to segregation well before the celebrated Rosa Parks and who was recently named as the new face of the Canadian $10 bill. Experience how each of these women affected change in the Canada of their time and ours.

Ian is a founding performer for CBC’s Vinyl Café and Dan is the author of the beloved Wingfield Farm stage comedies. Together they explore the rural-urban divide that puzzles so many newcomers to the country. Prepare to be coached and instructed in the ancient rituals by two experts in the field.

Leisa Way and the Wayward Wind Band keeps the classic rock flame burning in this high energy show that is mesmerizing audiences with the electrifying sounds of the hottest rock stars and bands in history.

Crees in the Caribbean

Crees in the Caribbean is the story of two middle-aged First Nations’ seniors, Evie and Cecil, on their very first trip out of the country to celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary. Cecil is sure that everyone is being nice to him because there is more to this trip than he has been told. Evie has her own agenda. The story of two imperfect people who are perfect together and an unlikely friendship that takes them back to their younger days. A heart-warming comedy from one of Canada’s leading First Nations playwrights and humorists.
