Toronto: Tarragon Theatre makes changes in presenting “Three Women of Swatow” and “Light”

Friday, January 7, 2022

In accordance with Toronto Public Health and Provincial regulations, we've changed some plans for the upcoming performances of Three Women of Swatow and Light

We’re intent on honouring the commitments made to our artists and patrons as much as possible and, to that end, are sharing a revised performance schedule we’ve created in collaboration with our artists and staff. The updated schedule is as follows:

Three Women of Swatow by Chloé Hung

Directed by Courtney Ch'ng Lancaster

April 18 - May 15, opening April 27, 2022

Light by Rosa Laborde

Directed by Jackie Maxwell

Available to experience as a recorded staged performance in early March, with the potential of an exclusive, limited run of in-person performances. More details to follow.

All other productions remain unchanged - The full season and opening dates can be seen here.

By pausing the 19/20 season and planning to reopen in January 2022, we had hoped 2022 would bring a safer environment to welcome everyone back into our space. Unfortunately, with the resurgence of COVID-19 due to the Omicron variant, that will not be possible…yet.

The theatre community is a resilient one, and we continue to work towards a day in the not-so-distant future where we can continue to bring you the finest in new Canadian theatre. We look forward to a day where we celebrate a return to normalcy, including announcing our 2022/23, the first season of programming from our new Artistic Director, Mike Payette.

Thank you for your belief in what we do, your incredible feedback, support, and commitment to the value of art in Canada.
