Wellington: Festival Players of PEC will now be called the County Stage Company

Saturday, November 26, 2022

Welcome to County Stage Company, formerly Festival Players!

Festival Players of Prince Edward County has completed a re-branding process in an effort to better reflect the diversity of our programming and our pride of place.

Since its founding in 2006, Festival Players has focused principally on theatre productions, welcoming some of the top stage artists in the country to many venues across the region. Over the past few seasons we have explored a broader range of artistic disciplines, expanding artistic programming to include modern dance, comedy, music and cabaret.

We are thrilled to unveil our new name County Stage Company, which reflects the company’s new programming direction and features an original logo designed by Chris Duchaine. We have a new name and a new logo, but you can expect the same excellence in programming this summer.

Experience performing arts in Prince Edward County.

For more than 17 years, we have been bringing the beautiful landscapes, towns and villages of The County to life with theatre, music, art & food. We are passionate artists, inspired by the community and romance of The County, making theatre for audiences that seek innovative and imaginative work.

It's important that our events feel safe for everyone - regardless of the colour of your skin, what you believe, where you come from, who you love or how you choose to identify yourself. We love and respect you.

When we gather for our shows and events, we are meeting on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabeg, Wendat and Haudenosaunee Peoples and adjacent to the Kanien’keha:ka (Mohawk) community of Tyendinaga. We are grateful for the opportunity to create and meet here, and we thank all the generations of Indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island who have taken care of this land for thousands of years. Thank you, Niá:wen.
