Toronto: Cirque du Soleil’s “Kurios – Cabinet of Curiosities” must close on July 10, 2022

Wednesday, May 18, 2022

Following the confirmation of the Honda Indy Series taking place from July 15 to July 17, KURIOS by Cirque du Soleil will now be concluding its Toronto run on July 10, 2022. After collaborative discussions with Ontario Place, the decision was taken to reschedule a number of shows to ensure all patrons receive the best Cirque du Soleil experience.

Due to logistical implications and extreme challenges customers would face to access the Big Top during the Honda Indy Series, KURIOS will be taking its final Toronto bow on Sunday, July 10. With 120,000 tickets already sold, the Toronto run of KURIOS has been an incredible success, and Cirque du Soleil is happy to announce new shows added on June 14, 17, 24 and July 5.

Customers with tickets for performances between July 13 - 17 will be contacted by customer services for refund or exchange. For tickets purchased through one of our partners, please contact the original point of sale for refund.

A “KURIOS” EXPERIENCE LIKE NO OTHER

Critically acclaimed the world over, KURIOS—Cabinet of curiosities astonishingly revisits the signature Cirque du Soleil style of performance by weaving jaw-dropping acrobatics with a refreshing touch of poetry, artistry and humor. A mind-boggling escape from reality, KURIOS unveils a festive, steampunk-inspired universe where the unexpected lies at every corner.

In an alternate yet familiar past, KURIOS steps inside the mechanical lab of an inventor convinced that there exists a hidden, invisible world—a place where the craziest ideas and the grandest dreams await. Once the inventor succeeds to unlock the door to this world of wonders, time comes to a complete stop and an uplifted cast of otherworldly characters invades his curio cabinet, bringing his makeshift creations to life one by one. As the visible becomes invisible and perspectives transform, KURIOS bursts into a celebration of the power of the imagination.

Premiered in Montreal in 2014, KURIOS has mesmerized over 4.5 million spectators in 30 cities worldwide with over 2,000 performances brought to life by its cast of 49 world-class artists.
