Toronto: Roast Master Bash presents “Marvel vs DC Roast Battle” October 30

Saturday, September 24, 2022

The next edition of our flagship MARVEL VS DC ROAST BATTLE - presented by Roast Master Bash - is happening Sunday, October 30th, 9pm at Comedy Bar West!

The show takes the regular roast battle format and gives it a super-powered twist. Fan favorite characters from both comic book giants duke it out in epic displays of verbal violence until only one is left standing. It’s the show that promises to settle the Marvel vs DC debate once and for all!

The event is independently run and produced by Franky Hunter, and the real vision behind the operation, Sebastiano Fazio. This is a love letter to comic books and their passionate community. Everything from the costumes, in-show graphics, and music is provided by us to pay homage to the characters represented on stage.

It’s a big hit with fans. After seven straight sold out shows at Comedy Bar and playing to packed houses at both Ottawa Comic-Con and Fan Expo Canada, Marvel vs DC Roast Battle is now a nerd favourite.

To make the event extra special, we’ve decided to tweak the format by adding a judging panel to maximize the comic book carnage. Judges for the show include Eternity, J. Jonah Jameson, and Martin Scorsese, all played by Toronto’s sharpest comedians.

Roast Master Sebastiano “Bash” Fazio has established himself as THE roast comic in Canada. His recurring Roast of the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to sell-out. As do his other productions; The Roast of Harry Potter, The One with his FRIENDS Roast, and A Roast of Ice and Fire. His monthly Marvel vs DC Roast Battle has been featured on Narcity and made its convention debut at the biggest nerd event in Canada, Fan Expo Canada along with Ottawa Comic-Con. His go-for-the-jugular style has been sought out by his fellow comedians, as he was asked to ghost write for Roast Battle Canada seasons 1 and 3, on episodes nominated for a Canadian Screen award. Overlook him at your own peril.
