Toronto: Next up at Théâtre français de Toronto is “Flush” running Februray 1-5
Wednesday, January 11, 2023
It’s snowing. The wind is tireless. Corinne knocks on the door of a small house lost in the prairies. She needs to rent a room for her goldfish and herself. Is it possible to share such a tight space with a little girl who’s obsessed with grasshoppers, a wise fool who won’t speak and a grandmother who can no longer endure music? In this somber comedy, a touching quartet investigates the deep meaning of the word “family.”
Flush, written and directed by local multi-disciplinary artist Marie-Claire Marcotte and co-produced with La Troupe du Jour and Fittonia Films, had its world premiere in Saskatoon in February 2022 to great applause and full houses.
