We are excited to announce VOICEBOX: Opera in Concert's impressive milestone: 50th Anniversary Celebration!

In the season 2023/2024, VOICEBOX: Opera in Concert will present VERDI UNBOUND! Who better than the iconic Italian composer, recognized worldwide as a master of the operatic art form to celebrate our Golden Jubilee? His career transformed the Bel Canto style of beautiful singing into the glories of romanticism in Europe. We will perform three early works of this master of the lyric stage.

First comes Un Giorno di Regno (King for a Day) Sunday, November 5th, 2023 which was Verdi’s first comedy. Then Ernani, Sunday, February 25, 2024, which became wildly popular… barely superseded in appeal by Il Trovatore, making him the top opera composer of his time. And closing the season is La Battaglia di Legnano (The Battle at Legnano) Sunday, April 7, 2024, which was a ‘clamorous success’ eliciting an encore of its fourth act at every performance.
