Toronto: Clay and Paper Theatre brings back “Animal Nature” July 27-August 12
Thursday, July 13, 2023
Finally, after a long pandemic break, Clay and Paper Theatre brings to you a BIG PUPPET SHOW! Our 2014 hit, Animal Nature, gets a glorious new remount this July and August in Dufferin Grove Park.
In this epic fight for the future of the planet, the remaining animals of the earth get pushed to the very edges of the world itself. With live, original music, bold creature characters and signature Clay and Paper Theatre satire, Animal Nature rallies audiences to love the planet entirely, absolutely, fervently and to find the way back home together.
Grizzly and the other animals return to Dufferin Grove Park after a long hiatus.
It's been such an honour to have international mural artist, Shalak Attack, add her magic to the Animal Nature puppets with a stunning new look.
Mark your calendars! Performances begin July 27th and run to August 12th, with shows at 7pm from Wednesday to Sunday evenings, with a matinee at 2:30 on Saturdays.
Accessibility Touch Tours for Animal Nature:
Alongside our Animal Nature show, we are proud to present Touch Tours again. Tours are designed to enhance the play-going experience of audience members who are seniors and or have a visual impairment. The Tours give audience members a chance to become familiar with the different play characters, puppet shapes and sizes, musical cues and to get a sense of the performance environment.
Touch Tours run weekly on Thursdays and Fridays an hour before the performance, from 6 to 6:30pm. For more Touch Tour info and to sign up for one of the six sessions, please check out this link.
