St. Catharines: The Foster Festival announces the cast for its reading of A Niagara Christmas Carol
Thursday, October 31, 2024
The Norm Foster Theatre Festival is thrilled to announce the cast for the staged reading of A Niagara Christmas Carol, our newly-adapted Canadian version of Dicken's A Christmas Carol; and what a cast it is!
It features Paul Ewan Wilson (Go For Gold, Audrey Pham, reading), Isaiah Kolundzic (The Melville Boys), Patrick McManus (The Christmas Tree, reading), Molly Atkinson (Debut), Claire Jullien (Debut), Graeme Somerville (The Christmas Tree, reading), Edmond Clark (1812) and Jamie Williams (Ship to Shore, The Writer, The Christmas Tree, Here on the Flight Path), who stars as Scrooge.
In partnership with the St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canal Centre and in commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the Welland Canal Company and the construction of the Canal itself, we are taking Dickens’ beloved holiday ghost story and setting it in 19th century St. Catharines at the time of the Canal’s build.
Adapted by Artistic Associate, Jamie Williams and directed by the Festival's Artistic Director, Emily Oriold, A Niagara Christmas Carol is a uniquely Canadian take on the traditional story of Ebenezer Scrooge’s redemption.
There are just three opportunities to attend the staged reading: December 6 at the St. Catharines Museum and December 7 & 8 at The Mandeville Theatre, Ridley College.
Book your seats now and celebrate the Holiday season with The Foster Festival.
