Blyth: The Blyth Festival presents “A Creature is Stirring” on December 13

Monday, November 18, 2024

Holiday havoc comes to Blyth on Friday, December 13th with comedian and storyteller JUSTIN SHAW as he shares his comedy solo show A CREATURE IS STIRRING.

A CREATURE IS STIRRING is a painfully true story written and performed by Justin Shaw - featuring a Maritimer’s first Christmas on the mainland and the boiling pressures of dealing with a rodent problem in his apartment. A CREATURE IS STIRRING is as “funny as it is heartfelt” and a “polished, masterfully-told performance from a clearly talented storyteller." (Beyond James) It’s Mousehunt meets Dave Cooks The Turkey (and if you get that reference - this is the show for you!)

Described as a “slightly caffeinated Stuart McLean” Justin Shaw is a comedian and storyteller originally from Prince Edward Island (and if you're also from Prince Edward Island, his dad probably knows your dad.) He has toured his solo shows across Canada, including his PEI-inspired solo show The 70 Mile Yard Sale (Charlottetown Festival, Here For Now Theatre, Bell FibeTV1.) He has appeared on Just For Laughs Toronto, Mike Birbiglia's Working It Out comedy show, has opened for Harland Williams, Fortune Feimster, and tours regularly with Yuk Yuks across Canada. His debut comedy album Human Money showcases his down-home yet outrageous sense of humour, and can be heard on Sirius XM.

All tickets are $30 and can be purchased at www.blythfestival.com, or by calling the Box Office at 1-877-862-5984.
