Stratford: “Goblin:Oedipus” is part of Stratford’s 2025 season
Saturday, November 2, 2024
In 2023, three Goblins descended upon Stratford for the first time, captivating audiences in the Studio Theatre with their unique take on Macbeth. The result was Goblin:Macbeth, a wildly successful part of the Meighen Forum that had audiences coming back for more.
In Fall 2025, the Goblins will return (and so should you!) to the Meighen Forum to take a stab at another theatrical classic, Sophocles’ Oedipus Rex.
The Goblins are determined to delve deeper into the Dionysian degeneracy of the human race, dissecting the dithyrambic to offer up a cautionary tale of patricide, incest and eye-gouging comedy.
The production contains adult themes and occasional use of strong language that some people may find offensive. We recommend it for audiences 18 years and older.
