Toronto: “SwordPlay: A Play of Swords” returns December 11-14

Tuesday, December 3, 2024

Toronto-based physical comedy company Sex T-Rex remounts their most beloved and acclaimed one-act show, SwordPlay: A Play of Swords, as part of Bad Dog Theatre's Comedy on Queen Festival at Assembly Theatre!

SwordPlay, the production that earned physical comedy geniuses Sex T-Rex their inaugural Dora Award for Outstanding Ensemble, returns for four performances only from December 11-14, 2024 at 9pm.

A high-octane adventure comedy where no plot is untwisted, no bad guy unstabbed, and no chandelier unswung, SwordPlay is a loving parody of the swashbuckling genre mixed with retro video games, drawing on The Princess Bride, The Three Musketeers, Game of Thrones, Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy, to name a few.

Next up - save the date for Sex T-Rex's holiday-themed improv show, But Make It Christmas, coming up on December 18-21 at Assembly Theatre as part of Comedy on Queen Street! Tickets on sale soon.
