This unforgettable evening of comedy, presented by Knifefight Theatre and The Assembly Theatre, aims to raise funds for two critical initiatives:

1. Renovations: Upgrading the theatre’s lobby with fresh paint, storage benches, and digital picture frames to elevate the audience experience.

2. Visibility: Installing streetfront signage to attract new audiences and ensure The Assembly Theatre remains a thriving artistic hub in Toronto’s Parkdale neighborhood.

In addition, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Parkdale Community Foodbank, further supporting the local community.

Fundraising Goals

The Colin Mochrie Fundraiser aims to raise critical funds to support two transformative projects for The Assembly Theatre:

1. Lobby Renovation

Creating a more inviting and functional space for audiences and artists, the renovations will include:

Fresh paint to enhance the theatre’s vibrant aesthetic.

Custom storage benches to optimize space and improve comfort.

Digital picture frames for dynamic displays of upcoming shows and events.

2. Streetfront Signage and Advertising

Increasing the theatre’s visibility with permanent streetfront signage will help attract new patrons, boost awareness of events, and solidify The Assembly Theatre as a must-visit destination in Parkdale’s artistic community.

Financial Target:

Our goal is to raise $5,000 through ticket sales, donations, and sponsorships. Every dollar will directly contribute to ensuring The Assembly Theatre continues to be a vital hub for Toronto’s indie arts scene.
