To start 2026 with something spectacular, SpringWorks~PuppetWorks! presents El Local’s magnificence on a miniature scale. My Great Work is what could be done with an unlimited budget, the largest theatre in the world, 300 actors on stage, a military orchestra, a rock band, animals, cars and a helicopter - but on a micro-stage.

Award-winning artist, David Espinosa, is joining us from Barcelona Spain. “A multidisciplinary artist who has been able to extract greatness from the smallest objects”, he has toured more than 30 countries, selling out shows all over the world. Using micro-puppets, miniature sets, objects, and meticulous craft, David imagines a lifetime of artistic dreams scaled to a tabletop stage.

Step into the inventive world Espinosa has created, a dynamic visual universe without words, as it demonstrates a commentary on the reality artists and global citizens inhabit. Most creatives must turn the lack of resources into a creative engine. Many of us live in difficult socio-economic situations with few affordable luxuries. The time is right to experience this ambitious, thoughtful work.

My Great Work takes place on Friday, February 13th at 7:30, and Saturday, February 14th at 1:00, 4:00, and 7:30 at Falstaff Family Centre, 35 Waterloo Street. The show runs for 1 hour and is designed for a small, intimate audience of 20, so make sure to get your tickets while you can.
