The Sketch To The Death comedy tournament is back for its fifth year from January 7-February 25, 2026 at Comedy Bar Danforth. This annual sketch comedy tournament will see 63 sketch comedy troupes battling it out over eight weeks to be crowned Toronto Sketch Champions. From emerging up and comers to established award winners and TikTok stars, Sketch To The Death is an annual snapshot of the current sketch comedy scene in an exciting rapid fire tournament.

Sketch To The Death is an annual tournament which hosts weekly showcases in two rounds, plus a semi-final round, and a grand finale show. Each week audience members and secret industry judges choose who moves on to the next round, with the grand prize winners receiving a cash prize.

Once the winners have been crowned on February 25, Sketch To The Death will then present a curated Best Of showcase at the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival in March 2026.

Sketch To The Death has been held in 2019, 2020, 2024 and 2025 to spotlight Toronto’s epic sketch comedy scene. Past Sketch To The Death winners include Vest of Friends (2019), The Diddlin' Bibbles (2020), Potato Potato (2024) and Nkasi Ogbonnah (2025) with Best Newcomer Award winners including Ian McIntyre (2019), Cheap Wine (2020), Red Hot Sili Peppers (2024) and A.C.
