Orangeville: Theatre Orangeville presents “The Wedding Party” April 16–May 3
Tuesday, March 31, 2026
The Wedding Party is the final mainstage production of our 32nd Season (and Jennifer Stewart’s first as Artistic Director). Jennifer will once again take the helm and directs this hysterical comedy.
Join us for a wedding where two very different families come together… and everything that can go wrong, hilariously does. As the champagne flows and emotions run high, secrets spill, identities blur, and the celebration takes on a life of its own.
With a remarkable cast transforming into a room full of unforgettable guests, The Wedding Party places you right in the middle of the action - because at this wedding, you’re not just watching… you’re part of the party.
It’s an evening of quick-change comedy, unexpected twists, and wildly entertaining chaos - where love is in the air, but anything can happen before the last dance.
Every performer plays two or three distinct roles, sharply contrasted to heighten the comedy and emotional stakes.
Emma Grabinsky will play Tiger, Edward, Jack Jr. and Cleo. David Leyshon portrays Jack Sr., Tony, and Janice. Glynis Ranney will be Maddy and Pilot the dog. Tyrone Savage will be playing Edna, Murray, and Frank. Evelyn Wiebe steps into the roles of Katrina, Pippa, Tomas, and Sherry. Kristi Woods plays Margaret, Alice and Vlad.
Audiences will see the same faces reappear as stern parents, insecure best friends, awkward servers, rebellious teenagers and elderly relatives with more spark than anyone expects.
Dora nominated for Outstanding New Play (2017), Kristen Thomson’s The Wedding Party takes us behind the scenes with two families, mistaken identities, and love - all tied up in a madcap comedy that invites the audience to take a seat ringside on the big day.
Dress up in your ‘wedding best’ and join our cast they hit the dance floor, indulge perhaps a little too much, and try to get along.
The Wedding Party is automatically added to five show subscription packages and can be included in your three show subscription selections. Single tickets for this show are also available by visiting www.theatreorangeville.ca.
