It’s a Good Life If You Don’t Weaken immerses audiences in a powerful original story integrated with The Tragically Hip’s timeless hits, capturing the raw energy, heartfelt lyrics, and unmistakable spirit that have made them an essential part of Canada’s musical identity.
Set in 2002, Waleed — an exiled journalist —lands in Canada, where he unexpectedly falls for Kate, the owner of a local music store. Their connection is immediate and undeniable. But when circumstances change, their love is tested across continents. Distance, duty, and uncertainty force them to confront what truly matters — and where they each belong.
Woven through the timeless hits of The Tragically Hip, the show surges with raw energy, heartfelt lyrics, and unmistakable spirit. This music is more than a soundtrack — it’s the driving force behind a powerful original story.
