Port Dover: Lighthouse Festival presents “Secret Service” by Ephraim Ellis July 8–25

Friday, May 8, 2026

The Lighthouse Festival presents the world premiere of Secret Service by Ephraim Ellis.

Welcome to Il Glorioso Buco, Toronto’s swankiest, most suspiciously well-staffed Italian restaurant. It’s opening night, the risotto is simmering, and the atmosphere is thick with… espionage? That’s right – unbeknownst to the hungry guests and hapless staff, a crack team of international spies has taken over the kitchen, using marinara as camouflage for a top-secret sting operation.

Enter Harry Marsden: an eternally optimistic rookie who thinks he’s just starting a regular old waiter gig. Dressed to impress in his ill-fitting tux and armed only with a serving tray and way too much enthusiasm, Harry has no idea he’s just walked into the culinary equivalent of a James Bond blooper reel.

Featuring tuxedoed takedowns, linguini larceny, suspicious accents and one very confused maître d’, this world premiere is Mission: Impossible meets slapstick as Secret Service proves the biggest secret might just be Harry’s complete cluelessness. Spies, lies, and al dente drama – what could possibly go wrong?
